GAMES: Design and Research, Volda 2010


Conference: June 3 - 4, 2010


What is game design, and how do we approach it in our research? Game design may be a creative activity performed in its own right, it may be an object of study, and it may function as a tool for research, experimentation and teaching. To highlight and explore different research approaches to game design, a Nordic conference will be held in Volda in June 2010. We hereby invite  you  to submit a paper abstract for the conference, with a topic that is associated with but not limited to the following:
  • What is game design?
  • How can we study game design?
  • How can game design be used as a tool for research?
  • How can we design new games?
  • How can we use game design as method?
